Best way to 'Sip' chocolate in Summer

Indeed I said, Sip and not Ship - in reference to chocolate in hot weather.

Apparently a daily cup of hot chocolate could help to stave off heart disease - as the nutrients in cocoa can widen blood vessels. Rich, dense and creamy, a proper cup of hot chocolate is a real indulgence and it's great to know it could be good for you.

Well why would you not reap that benefit in summer?

Cocoa Cravings fruit enriched chocolate drinks are perfect summer ‘cool drinks’.

Especially when you can make a thick creamy cold cocoa drink that not only tastes better than those sugary packaged mixes, but one that is also incredibly good for you.

Easy to make – simply add hot milk or water to 2 tablespoons / cup. Stir for 2 minutes. Add 2 ice cubes / crushed ice and you just transformed your comforting winter hot drink to a dazzling – summer drink.

The flavonoids help your body process nitric oxide, which is why hot or cold cocoa can improve blood flow, help lower your blood pressure and improve heart health. The flavonoids in hot or cold drinking chocolate also help prevent platelets in your blood from mingling together and forming clots.

All Cocoa Cravings Drinking Chocolates and Cocoas have a lovely, rich cocoa flavor with a touch of bitterness that stops it being too sweet, alongside the unique aspects imparted by the fruit or herb in them.

When with milk, the drink has a thick and creamy consistency, and it tastes like something you'd drink in a Parisian cafĂ© on a balmy summer night…

USDA: Dark Chocolate Has More Iron than Beef - Yeah. Love it more

Dark Chocolate has more iron than beef?

So says none other than the USDA

According to the website,, a one ounce serving of dark chocolate contains 19 percent of the US RDA for iron. Yet an ounce of beef sirloin only contains 3 percent.

Data from USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference shows: Chocolate, dark, 70-85 percent cacao solids, value per 100 grams is 11.90 milligrams of iron.
Beef, bottom sirloin, tri-tip roast, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 0″ fat, all grades, cooked, roasted, value per 100 grams is 1.66 milligrams of iron. Beef, ground, 70 percent lean meat / 30 percent fat, crumbles, cooked, pan-browned, value per 100 grams is 2.48 milligrams of iron.

So these two information sources state that dark chocolate does contain more iron than some cuts of beef, and not just a little more.

Even more peer reviewed studies show that dark chocolate (not the sugary crap) can improve health and lower the risk of heart disease.

Enjoy Natural Cocoa Chocolate All Day- On sale Buy 1 get 1 free -now!

Only Pure Ingredients — Cocoa Cravings chocolate bars, made from the fabled "Criollo Arriba beans" using a recipe based on a simple combination of cacao beans, cane sugar and pure vanilla. Grown solely in Ecuador, "Arriba" is a special cocoa varietal with a perfumed floral scent. Its flavor is smooth, with a dominant floral note and nutty after–tones.

A small nibble into any one of the bars initiates your experience with a hint of sweet caramel, followed with the caress of rich cacao and ends with a light vanilla bouquet... just the flavors that rich dark cocoa beans, carefully roasted and ground, should provide.

In order to present you with the purest flavor of Arriba chocolate, there is no other "covering" aroma or extra flavors added to these bars. This allows you to experience the uniquely rich Arriba aromas in these tasting bars from 55% to 71% cocoa. The uniqueness, depth and flavor also result from the use of non–deodorized cacao butter in our production.

We do not use additives, preservatives, synthetic emulisifiers or artificial flavorings. Our bars are gluten free. And we definitely do not use ingredients found in some chocolates such as transfats, corn syrup, glucose, milk substitutes, or vanillin.
